This is Gary Alan's log home.

The protruding logs at the corners (as well as the protruding girders) will be cut off when the log home is completed.

There is a very specific reason why these logs are not cut off until the home is completely finished. Cutting these off is generally the last thing Skip does when he is building log homes.

This home is considerably larger than the one built by Jerry Sargent -- but the principles are exactly the same.

Gary will cut off the logs at the corners -- but only after the home is completely finished.

The home is starting to "come together" at this time. The large stack of firewood is from the log ends that were cut off at this point in the construction process.
