This log home was built by one of our members (who later sold it). This home is absolutely beautiful and we were excited to see it.
The above log home picture shows the very "small" thing that Skip would have done differently. Can you spot it? If you've taken our log home building class, you should immediately recognize the issue.
What we are referring to does not affect this home in any material way -- it is only aesthetic and "in the end", it is a very "small" issue.
Everything else about this home is absolutely perfect. It is exceptionally strong, beautiful, inexpensive to build, and easy to build.
The builders also built this small guest house next to the main house. Perhaps the builders lived in this cabin while they were building the main house?
As you can see, this is a log-framed cabin, but instead of full log walls it is covered with board and batten siding. Many of our members buy vacant land with owner financing, then build a "guest cabin" first in order to live on the property while they are building. This saves you from paying rent or a mortgage while you are building your log home.
