The open beams and high ceilings give the kitchen an open feeling, but the granite counters and light color scheme makes it feel completely modern. This is no country kitchen! Association member Jeff Cooley paid a lot of attention to the details -- right down to the trim, everything is perfect.
Every modern log home should come with a home theater and tiered seating, right?
Jeff handmade the stairs (above) himself. Association members love this type of stair because it looks great in a log home, and it is very sturdy. An added bonus is that it's an easy style of stairs to build, and something we cover in our log home class. The handrails are an absolute work of art -- Jeff welded them in place on the stairs they are built rock solid.
Jeff also made the custom metal handrails and tread brackets (below).
