Jim & Paulie Dale and their children built this beautiful home in Sammamish, Washington. Jim joined the Log Home Builders Association and attended our two-day log home class, and immediately went out in search of the perfect piece of property upon which to build their masterpiece. He and Paulie sure found the right place.
The property they chose was five acres of beautiful giant cedar trees. They harvested many of those trees to build this house. And what a house it is!
The Dale family built this home approximately 10 years ago. We were saddened to hear that Jim Dale recently passed away. You can tell that the Dale's log home was built with love and care, and we hope that Jim's family has many happy memories of him, and also of the wonderful time they spent together building their awesome log home.
Congratulations to the Dale family -- 2006 Exceptional Log Home Award winners.

Many of our members' log homes have lots of soaring open space, because the butt and pass style has no interior load bearing walls. The wall logs hold up the weight of the house, and the interior walls can go wherever you want.
