Welcome to the Wallace Falls Lodge in Wallace Falls, Washington!
This giant, ten bedroom bed and breakfast lodge was built by Tim and Mary, who took our class in the early 1980s and went right out to build their own log home from scratch. Shortly thereafter, they set out to build this beautiful guest lodge in scenic Wallace Falls, Washington. This lodge is only about 20 minutes from Skip's ranch and we highly recommend it as a place to stay if you are attending a class in Washington (or if you are just passing through to go skiing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, etc.)
You can contact the lodge at the Wallace Falls Lodge website.
Tim and Mary are now about to start building their third log home. And no wonder, since the first two came out so beautifully! Congratulations to the Wallace Falls Lodge, our newest Log Home of the Month!

Here's the amazing part:
Tim and his nine year old daughter put up all of the log walls in just two weeks (while his daughter was out of school for spring break). When spring break ended, Tim put the entire roof onto the home all by himself in just another ten days!
How hard do you think that might be, compared to trying to pay off a 30-year mortgage?
The above picture shows the lodge's "Marriage log". The lodge is very popular for wedding parties. After a ceremony the happy couple may carve their names into the Marriage Log to commemorate the occasion. In a log home as strong as this one, the carving is bound to stay there for a long time!
