log homes built by our studentsLog Home Builders Association of North America was founded to spread information about "true and pure" building of log homes and log cabins. Please take the time to read our articles about log homes, warnings about kit log homes, join our log home forums, and also take a look at our student log home pictures.

Our mission is to help people learn how to live debt free and avoid becoming trapped by a 30-year mortgage.

One or two people can build a real handcrafted log home, log cabin, house, lodge, or cottage from logs very quickly – easily – and inexpensively – using simple hand-tools that will fit in a car trunk. In fact, it is often possible to build very beautiful log homes without a mortgage (and without log home kits).

Kit Log Homes

log homes testimonialsMany commercial timber home builders (and “kit” manufacturers) charge extravagant prices for very poorly built log houses.  If you are thinking of building a kit log home or any kind of timber frame house, we strongly recommend that you read our articles to see what they are doing wrong.

Building Log Homes & Log Cabins Yourself

We offer a two-day class (11 hours on Saturday and 11 hours on Sunday) to our members on building log homes. If you are wondering whether, in just two days, you can really learn to build log homes & log cabins, be sure and read our article about hands-on log home building classes.

Our two satisfaction guarantees

We currently have over 45,000 members worldwide. Lifetime membership in our association is $795 ($695 each for groups of two or more) with no other fees or dues of any kind. Each membership includes tuition to one of our log home classes. And in case you don't agree that this class is the best thing you've ever done for yourself, we offer a no-questions-asked three month guarantee.
