Let me just say in sincere honesty that this was the best damn class I have ever taken from any instructor which is connected with the University. The Instructor, Skip Ellsworth was the best example of a truly sincere and most willing instructor I have come across yet. If it sounds like I am building the class and the instructor up for some sort of recognition, I am.  He deserves it.  And let me thank you for offering such a course.

However, when I read the Application he sent to me I saw that he gives a "double-your-money-back-guarantee." All I have to do is build my own log house, and then, if I am unhappy with what I learned in the class, Skip will give me back twice the amount of the tuition that I paid. Recently, as I was shopping for antiques at the Antique Gallery in Snohomish, I saw a small, ornately engraved poem that someone had framed perhaps 100 years ago. It was hanging on the wall of the Gallery, and when I read the poem it reminded me of you so much that I could not help but feel that it was written especially for you. Therefore, I want to share this poem with you now. It reads as follows; "Four things a man must do / if he is to keep his record true / to think without confusion, clearly / to love his fellow man, sincerely / to act from honest motives, purely / to trust in God and heaven, securely." I would have purchased this poem for you, Skip, but I had just spent all of my money for two sets of block and tackles, a peavey, and a snatch-block. As you can see by this, I am currently in the process of collecting the tools for building my own log house. I plan on building this summer, and I’m going to do it with no help from anyone. Thanks to the knowledge I obtained from you in your two day seminar, I have every confidence that I will succeed with this log house building project. I will send you a picture of the house when it is finished. Better yet, I’ll invite you to the "housewarming party" – and you will be the guest of honor. You are quite a guy, Skip. I will be forever grateful to you."
